Repair Technician Manager
Responsible for all areas of the Repair process. Focus on cost, quality, and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing, repair, and refurbishment operation.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with both internal technical teams to understand their process/manufacturing requirements/standards as well as external suppliers of equipment and components.
- Ensure technicians are assigned to handle order processing capacity and meet projected volumes.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes are adequately performed and documented
- Dependable and reliable in performing the tasks assigned by management.
- Check and reply to emails regarding RMA and production orders.
- Make sure Order Ship dates are met.
- Verify the technicians are using appropriate quality and ESD procedures.
- Ensure technicians have the tools and information necessary to work on a sale’s order.
- Answer Technician’s questions about configurations and customer requests that are not evident from the sales orders. This includes finding an alternate part number for a product that isn’t available at the time.
- Sign off on prep requests, whether it’s sending product to get cleaned or painted.
- Find and download new and updated drivers/firmware information for products.
- Manage tech vacation schedule.
- Order parts, bags, and hardware for both stock and production orders.
- Speak with customers about an issue with a product they purchased from us, to determine if we could them through a phone fix or send them a replacement.
- Assist with QA
- Update Tech notes and customer needs.
​Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Plus, one to three years of Technician experience in a lead capacity.
- Previous warehouse or inventory experience
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) required. Bilingual Spanish a must.
- ERP system experience (e.g., NetSuite) and Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent Communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Compensation:
A reasonable estimate of the base salary for this role ranges between $55,000 to $60,000. The range considers factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual case.
